A little science. A lot of good food.

Find your oven’s sweet spot.

Convert oven temperatures between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Compare exact values, rounded dial settings and separate fan-oven adjustments.

Flour, two eggs, butter and a golden cake on an ivory baking workbench
THE SECRET INGREDIENTA little precision.

The degree is exact. The oven is individual.

Unit conversion and fan guidance are two different things.

Made here. Stays here.
01 / Your recipe temperature

Fan guidance applies only when the starting recipe temperature is for a conventional oven. Check your oven manual; some ovens adjust the setpoint automatically.

02 / Temperature, translated

Celsius/Fahrenheit uses an exact formula. Dial settings and fan adjustments are practical approximations. Sources & assumptions ↗

A pinch of know-how

The math.
Then the method.

An oven dial is a practical choice, informed by exact conversion.

01

180°C equals 356°F.

A typical dial might offer 350°F. That is a rounded setting, so we show it separately from the exact conversion.

02

Fan settings vary.

A 20°C reduction is a 36°F reduction. It is not the same rule as subtracting 25°F. Check your oven’s automatic adjustments.
